Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Univibe you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Who can use Univibe

• You must be 18 or older.
• One account per person. Keep your login secret — you are responsible for what your account does.
• Full features (posting, messaging, market, crushes) need verified-student status (student ID + selfie review). Guests can browse with limits.

2. House rules

• Respect other students. No harassment, hate, threats, or sexual content involving anyone under 18.
• No illegal content, scams, spam, impersonation, or attempts to break the app.
• Post only content you own or have the right to share — especially photos and videos of other people.
• Report abuse instead of fighting back: every post, user, group and listing has Report + Block.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you give Univibe a licence to display it inside the app so others can see it. You can delete your posts anytime.

4. Crushes

Crushes are anonymous unless mutual in the same week. Do not use crushes to harass — harassment via crushes leads to a ban.

5. Market

Listings expire after 14 days (extend once for 7 days). Univibe is a noticeboard, not a party to your deal: inspect items, meet in public on campus, and prefer traceable payment (M-Pesa). We are not liable for buyer/seller disputes, but scammers are banned — report them.

6. Events & tickets

Event details and ticket links come from organisers. Payments happen with the organiser (e.g. M-Pesa till/paybill, gate), never inside Univibe. Check details before paying.

7. Termination

We may warn, suspend or permanently ban accounts that break these terms or Kenyan law. You may delete your account anytime (Profile → Settings → Delete Account): hidden at once, permanently removed after 20 days.

8. The app "as is"

Univibe is provided as-is. We work to keep it running but do not guarantee uptime, and are not liable for damages from use, except where Kenyan law says otherwise.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; continued use after changes means acceptance. Big changes will be announced in-app.
